7 CLASSIC COCKTAIL RECIPES
If you are planning to throw an evening party, cocktails must be on your mind. Cocktails are easy to prepare, take less time and hit off well with the guests. So here I have assembled some all time favourite cocktail drinks to give your party that added zing.
If you are new to cocktail mixing, don’t worry, even you would be able to make them without any problems. And since they are the classic cocktails, you can never go too off the mark with them.
Bloody Mary
Ingredients
Vodka 30 ml
Tomato Juice 100 ml
Lemon Juice 15 ml
Worcestershire Sauce 1 tsp
Black Pepper To Taste
Salt To Taste
Celery 1 stalk
Ice Cubes

Method
Mix together the vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, salt and paper in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Fill a highball glass with ice.Pour the drink in the glass, garnish with celery and serve immediately.
Blue Lagoon
Ingredients
Vodka 30 ml
Blue Curacao 30 ml
Lemonade 60 ml
Red cherry 1
Lime Wedge 1
Ice Cubes

Method
Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.Pour vodka in the glass. Pour blue curacao and lemonade over the vodka in that order.Garnish with cherry and lime wedge. Serve immediately. This recipe is for strong blue lagoon cocktail. If you want a weaker one, add more lemonade.
Dry Martini
Ingredients
Gin 45 ml
Dry Vermouth 10 ml
Olive 1
Ice cubes

Method
Put ice cubes in a tall glass.Pour gin and dry vermouth over the ice. Give the glass a swirl. Don’t mix vigorously.Garnish with olive and serve immediately.
Mojito
Ingredients
White Rum 60 ml
Club Soda 60 ml
Lime Juice 10 ml
Mint Leaves
Powdered Sugar 1 tbsp
Crushed Ice

Method
Mix 4-5 mint leaves, powdered sugar and lime juice in a bowl. Ensure that mint leaves getcrushed.while mixing, so that its juice also gets mixed.In a Collins glass, add the crushed ice. Pour the mix prepared in step 1 over the ice. Pour rum and top it off with soda.Garnish with a mint twig and serve immediately.
Bacardi Cocktail
Ingredients
Bacardi Light Rum 40 ml
Lime Juice 25 ml
Grenadine 10 ml
Crushed Ice

Method
Put rum, lime juice, grenadine and crushed ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously.Pour in cocktail glass, garnish with lime wedge and serve immediately.
Tequila Sunrise
Ingredients
Tequila 45 ml
Orange Juice 90 ml
Grenadine 5 ml
Ice Cubes
Orange Rind
Orange Juice 90 ml

Method
Pour tequila, orange juice and grenadine in a cocktail shaker. In a cocktail glass put ice cubes.Pour the cocktail over the ice cubes. Let stand for 5 min to chill. Garnish with a curl of orange rind and serve.If you are using canned orange juice instead of fresh orange juice, your cocktail will turn out to be thicker.

Method
Put bourbon, grand mariner, orange juice and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Shake well. Pour in chilled martini glass, garnish with a curl of lemon rind and serve immediately.If you are not using fresh orange juice but canned one, your cocktail will be thicker.
